You see person’s true colors when you are no longer beneficial to their life.
4th June: Dad’s death anniversary. I made post in his memory and was
pleasantly surprised to receive many responses. I am nearly 100 posts old, this
was first time I received good number of likes and responses. Wow. So all in
all, Indians are still emotional people and love their parents. Keep it up.
On 4th June 2000, Shyam Uncle-Ratna – Anil – Illa
– Akshay – Kashyap and myself reached Pune very late. I had not experienced
such a heavy showers ever in Pune, which we encountered near command hospital!
And after 14 years, first drops of rains lashed Pune with hurricane force
winds. Welcome ‘Indra Devta.’
Bonda Bondi Hoo Rahi hai
Hawa ki Larzsh Fahal Rahi
Kudrat ne motiyou ke khajani Khole
Aaja, aaj tu pyaree, kisee ka toh Hole
Aaja Thotha Bheeg Leh
Ek Paal Ke lia, Aur Jee Leh.
This is in response of the current generation who
unfortunately has no inclination and time for such time pass, i.e. poetry or
even simple joy of getting wet in rains, enjoying natures bounty. They enjoy
views of Unknown corners of world on Mobile or on Face- book but have rarely
gone out in rain, getting wet and feeling the pure joy of getting drenched.
Muskan loves to be happy in small moments of life. I am more
then happy to join her in that pursuit. We both took charge of Activa, went to
Main Street to buy “Mogre Ka Phool”. Idea was to make 'sarbat', as good as Mummy
or Bindiya’s Bhabhi. We enjoyed brief drive as winds were blowing, did some
‘Sabzi’ shopping along with 1 Kg Mogra. ½ Kg for Manju and ½ Kg for Muskan.
Manju thought that these are not 'mogras' but some other flower. Smell taste was
done, opinion was sought. Still Muskan kept worrying. Finally I said, ‘Lets
get the DNA taste done.Or make
the sarbat and drink it.If it comes out as cool, smells heaven, feels smooth, lift’s your
spirit few notch’s up. Then yes, it is mogra ka phool, you fool.’
6th Fri: ‘Kale Pen Shop.’ This is a small
shop next to Dhagroo Seth Ganpati Mandir, The biggest landmark of Pune, after
Shaniwar wada. This shop stands out in itself as oddity of Pune. A small shop of 50’s, where time is at stand still, when owner
used to refill pen with inks as students cannot afford full ink pot! Repair
broken pens, change nibs. Then Ball-Pen arrived, changing the scene. But this
shop froze itself in time frame and is still wrapped up in 50’s. Today Mr Kale’s son is in charge, reading
newspaper most of time. I took my two pens for repair. He spent some time,
tweaked, rubbed and cleaned the pen and bingo, they were operational soon. I
asked him “How much I owe you?” I was shocked with his answer. “Nothing.” And he smiled.
“But Why? How you will survive?” I asked.
He said, “This is tradition of
this shop, I have survived till now and am happy, so why change anything?” I was dumbstruck.
And Akshay had similar experience with Xrbia dealers, last
night. Some juggling and manipulations were suggested, but all dealers were
shocked as this will be being manipulative against company, which is not right
thing to do, whatever the company’s attitude!
These attitude and thinking makes the Pune city, such a nice place to
live in. Here, people do not feel money is almighty, something which will make
me happy, but their happiness lies in day to day small joys, making life of
joys.
